The Women and Girls Inspiring STEM Excellence (WISE) STEM Confidence Building Gabfest will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021. The event will feature celebrity dermatologist Melanye Maclin, M.D. aka “Dr. Mac”, her daughter Celina, along with other inspiring Black Women STEM professionals. They will provide their wisdom and perspective to help black and brown girls thrive personally and academically for the upcoming academic school year. The WISE STEM Confidence Building Gabfest will address every area in the life of young girls interested in STEM to help them embrace their diversity in a space with like-minded girls between the ages of 12 – 18. We will provide tips on studying, test-taking, and managing academic pressures. You will hear about different STEM careers and the journey to thriving in these careers. After attending the Gabfest, you will be inspired to meet the challenges of the upcoming academic school year, and soar with confidence.
